Modern Cottage
Weston, CT
Perched on a bend of the Saugatuck River, this new modern 2,400 sf cottage engages the natural landscape both visually and audibly. With vast amounts of floor-to-ceiling glass and very few opaque walls, the distinction between inside and out is intentionally blurred. Terraces and the roof, prominently seen from the approach to the house, are planted with year-round flowering succulents and moss. This cottage is all about the views (well, and the owners’ art collection) and how the light and transparency informs the spaces.
